Dallas, TX (August 15, 2018) – The Dallas Symphony Orchestra announces a new performance at Pleasant Grove’s Crawford Memorial Park on Tuesday, September 11, 2018. This program of patriotic songs, familiar film music and audience favorites will be conducted by Andrés Franco. Prior to the concert, the DSO will bring family-friendly activities such as an instrument petting zoo and craft projects to welcome the audience in a fun way. The 2018 Dallas Symphony Orchestra Parks Concerts are presented by Bank of America with additional generous support from ExxonMobil, Cigna, Methodist Dallas Medical Center, the Office of Cultural Affairs and Nordstrom.

“We are looking forward to performing for our neighbors in Pleasant Grove, and we hope that they enjoy an evening of great music,” said Kim Noltemy, Dallas Symphony Orchestra President & CEO.

“I am so pleased that the Dallas Symphony Orchestra will be performing at Crawford Memorial Park and for the constituents of District 5,” said Council Member Rickey D. "Rick" Callahan. “Music and art has the power to unite and bring neighbors together, and I know of no better way to do that than an evening of free music under the stars. We welcome the DSO to the park!” Council Member Callahan will also conduct the DSO in Sousa’s Washington Post March.
