Bruce Patti

Bruce Patti has been a violinist with the Dallas Symphony since 1982. He received music performance degress from Indiana and Yale Universities, where he studied with Josef Gingold, Jaimie Laredo and Broadus Erle. He was the concertmaster of the Yale Philharmonia as well as performing with the Chattanooga Symphony, with the Detroit Opera, in off-Broadway productions and at several music festivals. He has toured internationally with famed conductors including Leonard Bernstein, Eduardo Mata, Andrew Litton and Henry Mancini. Currently he is the director of the Concert Classics Series at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church and often performs solos for their live broadcasts on WRR. Patti is a published composer who has won several ASCAP awards and has had his music performed to critical acclaim by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Plano Symphony Orchestra, the Eastern Music Festival and the Fine Arts Chamber Players. He currently performs his music in area schools through the DSO's Symphony YES program and his commissioned pieces have been performed as far away as Estonia.
