RACHMANINOFF

Symphony No. 2

Rachmaninoff’s mysterious second symphony is unforgettable both for its energy and its poignancy.

“Van Zweden… was consistently responsive to… both the soaring lyricism as well as the bristling dynamism.” Chicago Classical Review

Due to health reasons, cellist Harriet Krijgh will unfortunately not be able to perform with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra in concerts on February 8, 9 & 10, 2018.

We are pleased to announce that Dallas Symphony Orchestra musicians ERIN HANNIGAN, TED SOLURI, NATHAN OLSON and THEODORE HARVEY will perform HAYDN’s Sinfonia Concertante for Oboe, Bassoon, Violin, Cello and Orchestra in B-flat major, op. 84, Hob I: 105 in place of the Cello Concerto on the concerts on February 8, 9 & 10, 2018. The remainder of the program will be performed as announced.
