Symphony No. 8

Legendary violinist Pinchas Zukerman returns to lead the DSO in a warm and expressive all- Dvořák program. A true masterpiece of the Romantic short-form, Dvořák’s Romance is a favorite of star violinists the world over, and two short works for cello and orchestra further demonstrate a supreme gift for lyricism. The beautifully pastoral Eighth, known as his English Symphony for its publication by English publishers Novello and its huge success in England, is truly a Czech symphony, inspired by the splendor of folk melody of Dvořák’s Bohemian home-country.

“Zukerman is blessed with unsurpassed natural talents.”
Atlanta Journal-Constitution
