Lay Family Concert Organ 25th Anniversary

The 2017/18 season marks the 25th Anniversary of the Lay Family Concert Organ! We are celebrating all season long with concerts featuring C.B. Fisk's monumental Opus 100 as well as recitals by three eminent organists as part of the Opus 100 Organ Recital Series, sponsored by Jeanne R. Johnson.

Fun Facts about the Opus 100: Lay Family Concert Organ

  • There are 4,535 pipes that make up the organ. 
  • The lowest note is performed by a pipe that’s 32’ long. 
  • The organ was inaugurated on September 2, 1992
