A lyrical documentary and a new short-film take the audience through an intimate journey into the world of composer Richard Wagner through the lens of his great-great-grandson and visual artist Antoine Wagner. The evening begins with cocktails at 6:30PM and concludes with a discussion led by the artist.

Dr. Jacob-Ivan Eidt will speak about the origins of Wagner’s romantic ideal of the complete work of art – a combination of Greek tragedy, Beethoven’s musical innovation and Germanic mythology – as it is embodied in his masterpiece Die Walküre.
